Kazan, Russia. June 3, 2017. France were hauled in mid-chase to Russia in 3-1 (25-13, 25-20, 22-25, 25-21) in Pool C1 of the 2017 FIVB World League. It was a sad fact that Russia lost to France, almost in tandem on the principal stages, France crushed Russia with such familiar ease but they will maintain confidence in a squad which now punches well above its weight as standard. There was pathos and tears of joy, Maksim Zhigalov restored some confidence to save 17 points. France team was mightily grateful for Julien Lyneel and Stephen Boyer delivered their conclusive performance to score 18 points, respectively.

In the Group stage of Pool C1, Russia will be played with Bulgaria on June 4 at 19:10 local time. Live Stream can be watched in the FIVB YouTube channel.
