Pau, France. June 11, 2017. Russia has keep asserting their dominance and managed to get their win over Italy in 3-2 (31-33, 25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 15-10) in Pool F1 of the 2017 FIVB World League. Russia will undoubtedly be buoyed after picking up their first win (vs Argentina 3-0 ) last week, at the same time, this match can already be considered as a must-win for Russia. Italian Giulio Sabbi scored 31 points to show his opportunity to assert himself as real contenders but failed to hold on to their spot in the match. Dmitry Volkov continued his impressive attacking to make 19 points for his team.

In the 3rd round of the World League, Russia will fly to Poland for another challenge along with USA, Iran. Russia will be played with the hosts Poland in the first match on June 15 at 20:25 local time.
