Györ, Hungary. July 29 2017. Russia showed no signs of rustiness as they easily defeated Czech Republic in 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-14) and claim the 3rd place of the 2017 Men’s European Youth Olympic Festival. Head Coach Andrey Nozdrin has selected his strongest available team for the match, and Russia looked ready and hungry to take the field. Russia showed no difficult conversion, and Maxim Sapozhkov started to take control of the match. The bench was emptied towards the end of the game and the tempo of play suffered slightly, but Russia can be completely satisfied with their performance. Maxim Sapozhkov once again opened the scoring 14 points, as well as the Libero Pavel Tetyukhin (son of Sergey Tetyukhin) scored after a strong defence in 11 points to win the 3rd place.
