U16 Russia were shown the value of a large, motivated pack when they went down to Italy in 0-3 to claim the 2nd place

Samokov, Bulgaria. July 29, 2017. U16 Russia were shown the value of a large, motivated pack when they went down to Italy in 0-3 to claim the 2nd place of the 2017 CEV U16 Women’s European Championship. Russia tried to play to their strengths out wide, Tatiana Kadochkina managed to suffocate the breakdowns and slow the game down to such an extent that Italy backline were rendered inconsequential. It was starting picking the tempo up as the Italian Loveth Oghosasere Omoruyi started overwhelm which allowed Italy to score a converted try in 3-0. Tatiana Kadochkina managed to gain the momentum with 11 points, in which coming the closest to breaking the deadlock with the last move of the game as Loveth Oghosasere Omoruyi made 12 points.
