The expert council of the Russian Volleyball Federation recommended to announce a competition for the post of head coach of the Russian women’s team. This proposal will be submitted to the presidium of the federation in late November, reported by r-sport.

Recall that Russian volleyball players at the European Championship in 2017 under the leadership of Konstantin Ushakov failed to defend the title won in 2015 and 2013, losing in the quarterfinals to the Turks.

“If, as a result of the presidium of the VFV, a competition for the post of head coach of the women’s national team of Russia is announced, we are ready to consider the candidatures of both domestic and foreign specialists. There are quite interesting trainers in Russia and abroad, I think that the presidium will take a balanced position in this question,”- said the president of the VFV Stanislav Shevchenko.

Earlier, the head coach of Dinamo Moscow and the women’s national team of Serbia Zoran Terzic said that he is ready to seriously think about the proposal to lead the Russian team, if such a proposal is received.
